Accordini Ignio is a winery located in Valpolicella, a Province of Verona, Italy. The winery is open all year round for both direct sales and wine tasting. The wine tastings include an array of cured meats, cheese, and pastries from their region. You have to book your tasting in advance.There are several different tastings offered, and each is unique. Let’s talk about some of the tastings and what is included with them.

Le Bessole Tasting

The Le Bessole wine tasting is about an hour and a half long with four wines. The wines are Lugana Lion, Valpolicella Classico Ripasso, Amarone della Valpolicalle Classico, and Passito del Veneto.

Corvina Tasting

The Corvina tasting takes about 2 hours and consists of five wines. The wines included are Rose Brut, Corvina Veronese, Valpolicella Classico Ripasso, Amarone della Calpolicella Classico, and Passito del Veneto.

Riserva Tasting

The Riserva tasting lasts around 2 and a half hours with the tasting of six wines. The wines include Rose Brut, Lugana Lion, Valpolicella Classico Ripasso, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva, and Passito del Veneto.

About the Wines

Lugana Lion

Lugana Lion is a white wine made with a deep hay yellow color. The taste is fruity and distinctive with slight pineapple and passion fruit hints.

Rose Brut

Rose Brut has a beautiful pink pearl color to it. The taste is well-balanced and elegant with persistent flavors. It smells of dog rose and white peach.

Corvina Veronese

Corvina Veronese is a red wine with a very deep ruby red color. The taste is very intense while staying balanced with every sip. The smell includes notes of blackberry, ripe cherry, sour cherry, and spice.

Valpolicella Classico Ripasso

This is another red wine with a very intense, deep ruby red color. The taste is a spicy that you will enjoy with the combination of persistence and freshness. The smell is spicy and includes hints of blackberry jam and black pepper.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a red wine that has a very intense ruby red color. The taste is intense while staying smooth and soft. You will smell red berry preserve, tobacco, and other spices.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva

This wine is highly concentrated and has a great structure. It is a red wine with a very dark ruby red color and hints of garnet. The taste is strong but velvety, giving sensations of red berries and hints of vanilla. You will smell notes of cloves, black pepper, and liquorice.
